Heavy Duty Journeyman Mechanic 

Job Summary

Position will be HD JM Mechanic.

Responsible for inspection and maintenance of HD trucks and Oil hauling trailers in a shop environment

Responsibilities and Duties

HD Journeyman Mechanic duties include

1) Inspection of HD trucks and Oil hauling trailers

2) Organization of tools and parts to fulfill job order efficiently

3) Repair truck/trailer safely with high level of quality

4) Regular communication with shop foreman regarding repair process

5) CVIP Inspections (if licensed)

6) Complete necessary job paperwork and hand in daily

7) Clean and organize bay for next job

• Work schedule is Monday - Friday

• 8 hrs/day

• O/T when required

• Six week on call rotation (one week every six weeks)

• Successful applicant will have own set of tools

Qualifications and Skills

Successful candidate will have following Qualifications

• New hire will be expected to be a Team player and work within GERVEEs company culture of safety first and respect for others.

• Must have the aptitude to problem solve and maintain a high level of workmanship consistently

• Valid H2S/First Aid Tickets

• Minimum 1yr Oil hauling trailer repair experience

• Class 1 (preferred but not necessary)

• CVIP License (preferred but not necessary)

• Valid Class 5 drivers license

• Must be able to and willing to operate service truck with picker
